Grow Your Garden Workshop Series
The Grow Your Garden Series is a collection of hands-on workshops designed to bring plant related activities to people who want to increase their knowledge about gardening or those who just enjoy working with plants.
These workshops are hosted on the third Wednesday of the month, from March through November except for May and August.
All workshops are sponsored by the Lyon County Extension Master Gardeners.
Workshops start at 6:00 p.m. at the Lyon County Extension Office either in our meeting room or the garage portion of the office depending upon the workshop. All workshops during the months of March through September will cost $20.00 and workshops in October and November will be $25.00. Payment will be collected at the beginning of each workshop.
Extension Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist K-State Research and Extension - Lyon County with horticulture community outreach.

| Description: Join us as we discuss how to begin the landscape design process and tools that can be used to help create beautiful outdoor spaces. We will discuss choosing the rigtht plants for the space and our area as well as common design challenges. Participates are encouraged to bring photos of their homes or properties to receive desing recommendations for Lyon County Extension Master Gardeners. All participants will receive tool sto help assist them with drawing their onw landscape desing at home. | |

| Description: Come learn about the different types of hydrandeas and the ins and outs of growing them in our area. Participants will also learn about taking soil samples and how nutrient levels can affect the growth of hydrangeas. All participants will receive a voucher for a free soil test. | |
